Château La Gaffelière

Château La Gaffelière被評定為Grand Cru Classé B酒莊位於Saint-Emilion法定產區的中心 

是一個有著悠久歷史的古老酒莊，酒莊佔地25公頃，其中22公頃用於種植葡萄。 

附近酒莊有Ch. Ausone、Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 及Pvie等名莊…葡萄園又與Canon la Gaffeliere緊密相連。葡萄園種植的主要品種為Merlot 66%其餘部分種植Cabernet Franc與Cabernet Sauvignon。葡萄樹的平均年齡為35年。Chateau La Gaffeliere採用人工採摘，葡萄經過人工挑選、除梗之後，在溫控不銹鋼內發酵，21天後，葡萄酒被注入橡木桶中進行18-20個月的陳釀。

La Gaffelière出產的葡萄酒以溫柔優雅見長，最著名的一個特點，就是酒有豐富純淨的果味以及綿密緊實的單寧口感，不論是年輕還是成熟都別有不同的面貌示人。

This is another St.-Emilion estate that has ratcheted up the quality level since Michel Rolland’s team was installed as consultants. Possibly the finest wine La Gaffeliere has produced since their 1961 or 1949, the broad, expansive, deep ruby/purple-colored 2003 boasts extraordinary elegance and purity as well as substantial flavor concentration. With copious quantities of dried herbs, black currants, sweet cherries, caramel, and spice box, this rich, moderately tannic beauty should be at its peak in 5-6 years, and last for two decades or more. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2025+.
